Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using KiviRent, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

2. What KiviRent is

KiviRent is a listings and communication platform that connects landlords and tenants in Lithuania. We help you list properties, message each other, schedule viewings, submit and manage rental applications, and generate lease contracts. KiviRent is not a party to any lease agreement between a landlord and tenant, and does not currently process rental payments on-platform — payment is arranged directly between the landlord and tenant.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You must be legally able to enter into a rental agreement to use KiviRent as a landlord or tenant.

4. Landlord responsibilities

• Listings must be accurate — real photos, correct address, price, and availability.
• You must have the legal right to list and rent out the property.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of any contract generated through KiviRent and for complying with applicable Lithuanian rental law.

5. Tenant responsibilities

• Information provided in a rental application (income, references, occupants) must be truthful.
• Reviews you leave must reflect a genuine stay and must not be defamatory or abusive.

6. Prohibited conduct

• Posting false, misleading, or duplicate listings.
• Harassing, discriminating against, or defrauding another user.
• Attempting to bypass platform security or access another user's account or data.
• Using the platform for anything unlawful under Lithuanian or EU law.

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

7. Reviews

Reviews are double-blind: neither side sees the other's review until both are submitted (or a set period passes). Reviews must be written by the person who actually experienced the stay — submitting a review on someone else's behalf, or about yourself, is prohibited and may result in account suspension.

8. Limitation of liability

KiviRent provides the platform "as is" and is not responsible for the condition of a listed property, the conduct of another user, or disputes arising from a rental agreement between a landlord and tenant. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of KiviRent after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.
